AS Roma boss Paulo Fonseca has promised to attack Manchester United when the two sides meet on Thursday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team welcomes the Serie A club to the first leg of the semi-final against Europa Lague at Old Trafford.
United beat Granada 4-0 on two legs to reach the last four while Roma beat Ajax.
Ahead of Thursday’s first leg, Fonseca admitted his side can’t afford to counter-attack deeply against United despite their quality.
“This semi-final with Manchester United is very important and I have to focus on a game that is too important for us,” he told Football Italia.

Roma prepared for their trip to Old Trafford with a 3-2 loss to Cagliari on Sunday night, despite Fonseca making rested key people before Thursday.
United did the same, leaving Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba on the bench on Elland Road when they drew 0-0 on their first visit since 2011.
The Roma are seventh in the Serie A table and have not won a game since April 11th.
