SINGAPORE, June 28, 2021: From July 16, Singapore Airlines will resume three weekly non-stop flights to Manchester in northern England with an A350-900.

The airline’s website is open for bookings with the lowest Economy Lite one-way fare starting at SGD 654. The service runs every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The airline suspended 98% of its international flights during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic last year.

The airline announced its return to Manchester on June 8th as the airline celebrated its 50th anniversary to the UK.

Manchester Airport General Manager Karen Smart said at the time: “We are delighted to hear that Singapore Airlines will resume direct flights from Manchester next month. Singapore Airlines is one of our longest-serving airlines, and we know that their routes have been very popular with passengers from all over the north over the years for both leisure and business travel. We look forward to working with our colleagues at Singapore Airlines to make this return flight service a success, especially given the destination’s inclusion on the UK government’s green list. Together we hope to be able to restart the popular Houston service as soon as possible as soon as the trip to and from the USA is open. “

The airline added five weekly flights to the Singapore-Manchester route to Houston, Texas in 2016, but no immediate plans to resume the transatlantic sector.

Singapore is a green light country on the UK’s Covid-19 list, meaning citizens and residents can visit with minimal restrictions and entry requirements.
