Rochdale’s Woman of the Year Luncheon has received a donation of £1,000 from sponsor Goldrick Blinds.

The Women of Rochdale Luncheon, organized by Springhill Hospice, received the donation form from Goldrick entrepreneurs and community fundraisers Mike and Debbie Goldrick.

Lunch returns for 2022 after being canceled last year due to the pandemic and will take place on Friday 29th April at the new Rochdale Golf Club venue due to the temporary closure of Town Hall.

The special annual luncheon brings together women from across the county to celebrate their achievements in their communities and culminates in the winner being presented with the prestigious Woman of Rochdale Award Rose Bowl.

Goldrick Blinds have been supporters of the event for a number of years and have once again pledged their support for the recurring event.

Debbie Goldrick said: “We are delighted to once again sponsor the event and look forward to their return.

“It’s always a great feeling to know we can support Springhill Hospice and the wonderful work they do for people across the county.”

In December, Lieutenant Commander Lawrence Scholes was made Man of Rochdale.

Vicki Murray, Corporate and Partnerships fundraiser at Springhill Hospice said: “We are very excited for this year’s event. After having to cancel last year, I think everyone is ready to finally get together and celebrate!

“We have a really exciting event planned this year and can’t wait to see all our supporters again.

“We couldn’t run these types of events without our supporters and I would like to thank Mike and Debbie Goldrick for their generous donation and Jackson Jackson and Sons for once again sponsoring the event.”
