HMR Circle Director Mark Wynn (centre) recently met with Chris Tomlinson, Business Development Director at the Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation and Ryan Bradley, Community Director at the Rochdale AFC Community Trust
HMR Circle, Rochdale AFC Community Trust and Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation have joined forces on a project to help get people’s voices heard when developing local health and social care provision.
The three organizations have come together to speak with local people about how the delivery of health and social care can be improved on a neighborhood level. It is hoped that different issues and priorities across the town can be captured and put forward as part of a wider discussion.
Mark Wynn, director of HMR Circle, which works to reduce social isolation in older people, recently met with Chris Tomlinson, business development director at the Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation, and Ryan Bradley, community director at the Rochdale AFC Community Trust, to finalize the partnership on this project.
The plan aims to:
- Deliver better integrated wrap-around services at the neighborhood and smaller population level
- Better deliver prevention work in neighborhoods
- Deliver better system-wide services and ensure the local population has good access to wider health services, such as specialist cancer care
- Better deliver whole system prevention efforts, such as universal prevention and targeted prevention across groups that span neighborhoods
Mr Wynn said: “We already have a great working relationship with Ryan at the Rochdale AFC Community Trust with our joint Center Circle project and so it’s great to now be also working with the Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation as partners on this exciting new project.
“We want to thank One Rochdale Health & Care for having faith in our partnership to help capture the voices and opinions of local people.”
