WANDERERS are one of the clubs Rochdale midfielder Aaron Morley sees as The Bolton News understands.
The Bury-born midfielder came through the ranks at Spotland, signed his first professional contract at 17 and is now a regular on the League Two club’s first team.
But with his contract expiring at the end of the season, a group of clubs – including Bolton – have been seriously considering making a cash offer in January to entice Dale into an early sale.
Shrewsbury reportedly turned down an offer of £ 150,000 for the 21-year-old, and championship teams Barnsley and Hull City and League One Portsmouth have been linked since then.
Defensive midfielder Morley has made 16 appearances for Dale this season, scoring two goals.
Wanderers hope to expand their squad ahead of their next league game against Wycombe on Tuesday and will continue to be associated with AFC Wimbledon’s Anthony Hartigan.
Ian Evatt has previously claimed the Dons midfielder is “not on his radar” but reports elsewhere continue to suggest he is one of the three players Bolton is looking to land before the window closes.
