What are the Rochdale council local elections 2022 results?

Voters in Rochdale have had their say in the 2022 local elections.

All 60 council seats were up for grabs in wards Balderstone and Kirkholt, Bamford, Castleton, Central Rochdale, East Middleton, Healey, Hopwood Hall, Kingsway, Littleborough Lakeside, Milkstone and Deeplish, Milnrow and Newhey, North, North Heywood, North Middleton, Smallbridge and Firgrove, South Middleton, Spotland and Falinge, Wardle, Shore and West Littleborough, West Heywood, West Middleton

Ahead of the election the council was run by the Labor party, but a boundary shake-up meant every seat was up for grabs this year, making it the borough’s first ‘all out’ election since 2004.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK, including all 33 London boroughs and 34 metropolitan boroughs in England. In Greater Manchester seats were available in the region’s 10 councils.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 5, with the Rochdale count expected to take place on Friday from 11am.
