Greater Manchester Police Department (GMP) has awarded Rochdale County Council a Certificate of Recognition for dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The council received the certificate from GMP in recognition of its contribution to the Greater Manchester Tactical Coordination Group (TCG).
As a cross-agency crisis management group, the TCG determines the tactical response to emergencies, including the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a post on its Facebook page, a Rochdale Council spokesman said: “The group has helped coordinate Greater Manchester’s response to the pandemic, with partners working positively to meet the demands and needs of our communities and services fulfill.
“By working together, sharing information and escalating issues at the national and regional levels, the group has played a critical role in responding to Covid.”
Coun Susan Smith received the certificate from GMP Superintendent Niall Hayden-Pawson.
