Cowm Park Way South, Whitworth
A toddler was seriously injured in a crash in Whitworth.
Emergency services were called at 5:25 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday, October 20) after reports of a collision between a two-year-old boy and a Ford Focus on Cowm Park Way South.
The boy suffered severe head injuries and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. He remains in grave condition.
Sgt. Martin Wilcock of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “This collision left a young child with some very serious injuries and my thoughts at this point are with his family. We have an officer to assist them.
“I would appeal to anyone who either witnessed the collision or has CCTV or dashcam material to come forward and contact the police.”
Anyone with information should call the police on 101, quoting Protocol 1137 dated October 20.
