An adult ice cream truck is out and about in Greater Manchester this summer serving up alcoholic ice cream, sorbets and ice pops.

Just in time for the spring heatwave that Manchester is enjoying, some Scoops have set out on a tour of the region this weekend.

Boozy ice cream and sorbets are served by a pink tuk tuk known as a jolene or a pink push bike called a dolly.

The flavors on offer range from refined espresso martinis and old-fashioned flavors to refreshing summer cocktails like pina coladas, peach bellinis and mojitos.

Flavors include pina colada and espresso martini

While the offerings are geared towards frozen drops, non-alcoholic flavors are also offered, including cola float ice cream and cherry sorbet.

Many of the flavors are vegan too.

A couple of Scoops are visiting venues in Trafford, Salford and Cheshire over the coming weeks.

One of his residences is in the Not So Secret Garden on Stamford Square in Atrincham, a new community center with outdoor seating, lounge chairs, and a wall of flowers.

The company was founded in June 2019 by Alanna Atkinson from Manchester.

She said, “When we started A Few Scoops we knew we didn’t want a normal ice cream van, we wanted something different that would make everyone whip their phones to take a picture!”

“We believe we achieved this with Jolene.”
